Community Health Needs Assessment
In order for Carle to provide meaningful community benefits, we solicit information, ideas and perspectives from the residents of the areas that we serve, including community leaders. Through various forms of research, a community benefit plan is developed. Annually, we report back to the community, relating how we addressed the community health needs identified, having prioritized them for action.
With healthcare reform, this activity by hospitals and healthcare systems is now referred to as the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Below is the research that is currently driving our community benefit activities and what will guide our planning and implementation of community benefits through 2013.
