Labor Anesthesia and Analgesia

The purpose of this class is to provide information regarding the management of pain during labor, with a specific focus on anesthetic intervention. This class will primarily discuss labor epidurals as well as anesthesia for Cesarean-section deliveries. The risks, benefits and expectations will be presented so that expectant mothers can make an informed decision regarding labor analgesia. The class will include a brief presentation followed by a mock epidural placement and question and answer session. Class is scheduled for one hour.
