The Carle Development Foundation Staff
Karla Gifford, CFRE
Interim Vice President
Karla Gifford joined The Carle Development Foundation staff in 2008 as director of major and planned gifts. She previously served as executive director and director of development for the Danville Library Foundation. Karla is responsible for advancing major and transformational individual giving as well as membership in the Margaret Carle Morris Legacy Society.
A native of Danville, Karla holds a bachelors of science in business administration from the University of Illinois and has been involved in numerous community and volunteer organizations in Danville. She and her husband have two children.
Pat Madsen
Director of Development
Pat joined the Carle family in 1977 as the secretary for a two-person development office and advanced to serve in the roles of Director of Volunteers and Director of Planned Giving. Eighteen years later, Pat left Carle to establish a planned giving program for another healthcare organization and, in 1998, she joined her husband in retirement. Pat returned to The Carle Development Foundation after six years of retirement and is building upon her experience and relationships from her earlier affiliation with Carle.
Linda Glazier
Director of Development Communications
Linda Glazier is no stranger to the Carle family. She spent more than 12 years in various communications and public relations roles at Health Alliance Medical Plans prior to joining The Carle Development Foundation in 2004. In her position as director of development communications, Linda makes sure that our donors and friends stay informed about how charitable gifts are helping make care at Carle even better.
Linda is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in public relations. She and her husband have two daughters.
Angie Lancaster
Annual Fund Manager
As the Annual Fund Manager for The Carle Development Foundation, Angie is responsible for growing Carle’s base of charitable support. She recommends programs that encourage support from new donors and increase support from current and past donors. In addition to planning mailings and solicitations, Angie manages Carle’s donor support program, the Circle of Friends, and employee giving campaigns.
Angie received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois. She lives in Champaign with her husband and son.
Jennifer Vallowe
Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Jennifer Vallowe’s career includes stints with the University of Illinois Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Paragon Marketing Group in Chicago. In her role at Carle, Jennifer is responsible for advancing charitable relationships with local and regional businesses, vendors, top admitting companies and foundations. She also coordinates a number of development functions including the annual Carle Golf Open.
Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in sports administration, both from the University of Illinois. She and her husband live in Monticello.
Angie Frankie
Coordinator of Prospect Research and Stewardship
As the Coordinator of Prospect Research and Stewardship, Angie Frankie is responsible for researching fund opportunities, maintaining donor databases and coordinating with other development staff on stewardship projects. One of Angie’s most important jobs is to recognize and thank donors for all they do to help Carle continue to provide the best care possible.
Angie received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois. She and her husband live in Mahomet.
Kathy Dupuis
Development Operations Specialist
Kathy Dupuis joined Carle in 1988. As Development Operations Specialist, Kathy manages data and charitable operations, assures timely and accurate reporting and recommends and utilizes updated policies and procedures for the recording and usage of charitable gifts.
Debbie Sears
Administrative Assistant
Debbie joined The Carle Development Foundation in 2011. In her role, Debbie is responsible for the proper functioning of The Development office.
