There are many ways to support Carle. Some people make current gifts (annual giving) and others choose to satisfy their commitment over a period of time (planned & estate giving). Many do both, and yet others give away a family asset like a piece of property (farmland). Gifts may be unrestricted in use, or you may specify that your gift be used for a particular program or purpose.
Because The Carle Development Foundation is a non-profit organization, most gifts qualify for federal and often state income-tax deduction. As with all financial considerations, we encourage you to discuss potential tax advantages and other aspects of charitable giving with your attorney, tax advisor or financial consultant. However you choose to give, you can be assured that your generosity will help to secure the future of Carle.
Planned & Estate Giving is a service provided by Carle through an agreement with Crescendo Interactive who provides gift planning resources.

Annual gifts come in all types and sizes
Outright Gifts
Outright gifts - gifts of cash, securities or other property - have an immediate impact on Carle’s services and programs because they can be used to support a variety of current needs.
Gift Pledges
A pledge is a formal statement of intention to make a gift to Carle. It may be followed by an immediate gift, or it may simply confirm your intention to make a gift in the future. Many donors choose to complete their gift pledge by making regular payments over a period of time. This method often allows donors to give more generously than they may have originally considered.
Memorial and Honorariums
An important way many people decide to donate money is in memory or honor or a special family member or friend. Gifts can be made in memory of a person who has passed away or in recognition of a birthday, anniversary, holiday or any other special occasion. A gift to Carle in this manner will have a lasting impact.

Property & Farmland
It’s not every day you find a healthcare system like Carle in a community like ours, where nearly 20 percent of the population lives in the country and more than a half million acres are devoted to agriculture. Because of the hazardous nature of the agriculture industry, access to quality healthcare is invaluable.
While many rural residents throughout our country have limited access to healthcare and fewer doctors from which to choose, those living in east central Illinois have Carle. No other local healthcare provider offers a more advanced level of clinical expertise and technology.
For years, generations of rural residents have shown their gratitude for Carle through charitable giving. Giving the farm you’ve built your life around to an organization that has cared for you and your family through the years may be the answer. At Carle, honoring a family’s legacy by keeping the land and farming it in the family’s honor is important.
The Carle Development Foundation gratefully accepts farmland donated to the organization. Farmland is seen as an excellent asset that may increase in value and produce income for the hundreds of programs provided by Carle.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT
Willard Warrick loved his family farm, and he loved the care his family received at Carle. To show his gratitude, Willard donated his family farm to Carle through a charitable gift annuity. When Willard died in 2009, Carle became the owner of the Warrick Farm. Today, the farm is operated by an area farmer, and the income is used to support Carle's greatest needs. The sign recently erected on the land proudly announces the donation.
