Carle Cafeteria

The Carle Cafeteria is located on the lower level of the Hospital and is open daily from 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Visitors are welcome to eat in the Cafeteria anytime it is open. Hot meals are served according to the following schedule:  

Breakfast: 6:30 - 10 am 
Lunch: 10:30 am - 1:30 pm 
Dinner: 4 - 7 pm  
Late Night Dining: Monday - Friday, 10:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.

During those hours when hot meals are not served, cold plates, sandwiches, a salad bar, snacks and beverages are available.

Coffee Shop

The Carle Foundation Hospital Auxiliary operates the Coffee Shop in the Main Lobby of the Hospital. The Coffee Shop serves a variety of grill items. Proceeds from Coffee Shop sales are used to benefit Hospital patients.

Monday through Friday: 6 am - 5 pm
 Grill open: 7 am - 4:30 pm

Breezeway Express

The Breezeway Express, located in the breezeway adjacent to the shuttle drop-off, is open from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm. Starbucks coffee, beverages, sandwiches, salads and pastries are offered at this location. The Carle Foundation Hospital Auxiliary operates the Breezeway Express and donates proceeds from sales to benefit Hospital patients.

Vending Machines

Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located next to the Cafeteria, on the lower level. They are available 24 hours a day.

The Carle Auxiliary Gift Shop

The Carle Auxiliary Gift Shop, located in the Main Lobby. The Gift Shop sells gifts, flowers, cards, candies, magazines, newspapers and toiletries. The Shop is operated by the Carle Foundation Hospital Auxiliary. Proceeds from the Gift Shop are donated to the Hospital and used for educational programs, renovations like the Family Suites, medical equipment and other programs to benefit patients. Postage, Newspapers, Pay Phones, ATM

A stamp vending machine, outgoing mailbox and an ATM machine are located in the Main Lobby. Newspaper vending machines are located near the Visitors Elevators off the Main Lobby. Pay phones are available in various locations throughout the Hospital, including the main floor near the Main Lobby and Emergency Department entrances, on Parkview North 4 and 6, and on the lower level near the Cafeteria and the Radiology Department.

Colwell Chapel

The Colwell Chapel is located in the Main Lobby. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the Chapel at any time for worship services, prayer and meditation.

Carle Auxiliary Guest House

The Carle Auxiliary and The Carle Foundation built the Guest House to provide a "home away from home" for families of hospitalized patients. The Guest House features 12 bedrooms with private baths, a comfortable living room, communal kitchen, dining room and laundry facilities. Two of the rooms are ADA compliant. Other features include direct phone lines to key Carle departments, computer access and elevators. The House is staffed 24 hours a day by a resident caretaker. The Auxiliary also plays an important hospitality role, making guests comfortable and assisting them with personal needs.

The traditional-style two-story home sits on two lots with adjacent parking. The location is at the corner of Orchard and Church, with a view of Crystal Lake Park and the fastest possible access to the Hospital.

The Carle Foundation Hospital Auxiliary has a long history of serving Carle patients and staff with both service and financial contributions. They made an initial contribution of $100,000 to the project, and assume the annual operating costs of the House.
