Last year, more than 1,800 children and parents came out to Playing It Safe, an annual safety fair sponsored by Carle and Safe Kids Champaign County. The event features more than 40 activities and exhibits that focus on safety awareness for the entire family. Admission and all activities are free.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the first 1,500 guests will receive a free hot dog courtesy of Sonic Drive-In. Inflatables will be available for children to enjoy after participating in safety events, and prize drawings will occur throughout the day.
