2014 Carle/Salvation Army Toy Drive

Celebrating our 30th year, the annual toy drive – a community service project of Carle, Salvation Army, and WDWS/WHMS/WKIO radio – will run Monday, November 10 - Wednesday, December 10. This year’s drive is designed to stoke your holiday spirit, challenging you to once again “Earn Your Elf Esteem”!

Earning your ears is simple: help those in need by dropping off any new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children through age 15 at the following locations:

Donors can also bring gifts, gift cards or monetary donations to Carle's all-day drive-thru toy collection on Wednesday, December 10, at Carle - Champaign on Mattis, 1802 S. Mattis Avenue. The collection will run from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., with Lite Rock 97.5's Mike in the Morning giving away fun prizes to our first generous elves.

Last year, we collected more than 2,200 toys and nearly $2,000 in monetary donations and gift cards, which all went to help more than 3,000 children in our community. Let’s see what our elf efforts can do this year!

30 days of giving

To celebrate our 30th year, we have created a #30DaysofGiving hashtag to run during the Toy Drive's 30 days. Follow Carle's Facebook and Twitter pages, along with #30DaysofGiving, to see local "celebrities" and community leaders tell us about their favorite toys or holiday memories. And feel free to share your own stories! Our goal is to bring even more holiday joy and gifts to children in the Champaign County community who may otherwise be without toys this year.
