2012 Carle/Salvation Army Toy Drive
The holiday season will be brighter this year for east central Illinois families in need, thanks to the Salvation Army Toy Drive, a community service project of Carle and WDWS/WHMS/WUIL. This year's Toy Drive will begin Thursday, November 15, and conclude on Thursday, December 13.
Donors can also bring gifts, gift cards or monetary donations to Carle's all-day drive-thru toy collection on Wednesday, December 12, at Carle - Champaign on Mattis, 1802 S. Mattis Avenue. The collection will run from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., with Lite Rock 97.5's Mike in the Morning giving away fun prizes to any gift donor.
Last year, the Toy Drive collected more than 2,500 toys and nearly $2,000 in monetary donations and gift cards, all which went to help nearly 1,300 families and more than 2,600 children in our community.
