Self check-in
Carle is one of the first healthcare providers in the country to implement patient self check-in technology from Epic Systems.
Similar to airport kiosks or grocery store scanners, self check-in eliminates the need to discuss personal information aloud.
Located in Family Medicine on the main campus in Urbana and at Champaign on Curtis and Urbana on Windsor, as well as at regional locations in Rantoul and Mahomet, the system allows patients to check in, verify insurance and make copayments with a credit card without ever visiting the front desk.
