Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation
Celebrating Life's Greatest Comebacks
Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Recovering from an illness or injury can be very challenging. That's
why the Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is staffed with experts in
the rehabilitation field. If you have experienced disability due to an
illness or accident, or are suffering from a progressive disease, you
may benefit from specialized rehabilitation care at Carle.
The Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is part of Carle Foundation
Hospital, the region's only Level I Trauma Center. As such, the Unit
has access to a wide array of skilled healthcare professionals,
including the medical staff of Carle Clinic Association, one of the
largest private physician group practices in the state.
Patients in the rehabilitation unit are managed by a rehabilitation specialist, but some may require specialized care.
As part of the Carle continuum of care, neurologists, neurosurgeons,
pulmonologists, cardiologists, hospitalists and other specialists are
available when needed.
Accreditations and Affiliations
The Carle Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is accredited by the Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and is
Medicare certified. The program has also received an accreditation from
the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Carle is actively involved in the training of rehabilitation
professionals through its academic affiliations with many Universities
and colleges including the University of Illinois and Parkland College.
