Carle Foundation Hospital
Finding Ways to Meet the Need.
The Carle Foundation hospital’s mission is to bring our community and your family the highest quality care, so you can stay close to home when you need it most. In fiscal year 2007 we provided more than $57 million in service to our community, including education programs, in-kind gifts and care for patients in financial need. Of that $57 million, more than $6.8 million was in no-cost or discounted care to thousands of patients.
We provide specialty medical services that might not otherwise be available locally. To us, a healthy community means bringing care to everyone who needs it. Yet, what we give back to the community extends beyond direct health care services. From community health and health care workforce education to providing essential health services that operate at a loss, giving back to our community is an essential part of what we do. It also means providing our employees with the time to serve the community as volunteers, many of whom are active on boards and committees. But the real benefit is so much more than a dollar figure.
As you read the profiles of just some of our patients, you will discover that true benefits cannot be quantified when lives are saved and people are comforted.
