This year's Nursing Annual Report is full of accomplishments that culminated in the achievement of Magnet designation.
Fiscal year 2009 (July 2008-July 2009) was an amazing year:
- We were deemed a Magnet hospital on August 19, 2009 at 11 a.m.
- Honoring 19 Nurse Exemplars. In their different roles, these nurses were each recognized for leading through example, mentoring their peers, and above all contributing to the exceptional care that Carle strives to offer each and every patient.
- Initiated 20 nursing research projects throughout the year.
- There are currently 134 nurses who have certification in various specialties at Carle Foundation hospital.
As we celebrate our Magnet journey and strive to continuously better our patient care, one thing is for sure, fiscal year 2010 promises to be an exciting year!
