Classes & Events

Carle offers free community events open to members of the public. Select a category to view the calendar of upcoming events.

The next set of CPR/FA Classes will not be until June 13, 2015 at the Danville Public Library. Registration will open on-line April 1. Classes for Urbana will be Sept. 19 & 21 and registration will open July 1.

CPR Class in Charleston

According to the American Heart Association, 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur at home and are witnessed by a family member. More than half occur without prior recognition of cardiac disease. This course provides instruction in proper CPR techniques for victims of all ages, as well as how to assist in a choking situation or use an automatic external defibrillator (AED). The course is scheduled for three and a half hours.

This course is taught by an American Heart Association certified instructor. It is a free two-year certification course for all members of our community. This course does not fulfill the healthcare provider requirement.
