EMS Region 6

The mission of Carle Regional EMS is to provide the best patient care through education, quality assurance, and a commitment to our system members.

Carle Regional EMS provides our mission to agencies in 10 different counties. Agencies in our system range from rural volunteer fire departments, full time fire departments, ALS ambulance agencies, fixed university facilities, SWAT and EOD teams, as well as AirLife critical care flight services.
We are also proud of the collaborative efforts with Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, Urbana PD, and the University of Illinois Police Department for the training of officer delivered Narcan in the event of an opiate overdose.

As our EMS System continues to grow, Carle Foundation Hospital continues to support our efforts. Starting in 2017, we will have 2 EMS Medical Directors providing oversight to our system. Our Medical Directors will be out providing the education and oversight to assist all CREMS agencies in providing the highest level of care possible. Our doctors are both former paramedics, they are both board certified in emergency medicine, and they both share the same passion for the EMS profession.
