2010 Employee Giving Campaign
Every year, employees from Carle and Health Alliance come together to raise money for patient care initiatives. Donations from employees allow Carle to offer programs other healthcare institutions don't provide making the healthcare experience more positive for patients.
A group of representatives from across the organization, known as the Employee Giving Committee, selects the initiatives to present to their colleagues during each annual campaign. One hundred percent of the dollars raised are used to support the areas indicated by donors.
When employees make a donation to the Employee Giving Campaign, they become members of the HandsOnTeam (HOT). Small chili pepper lapel pins of various colors are proudly worn by employees to identify their membership in HOT. A small red chili pepper named Hal A. Peño serves as spokesman and mascot for annual campaigns.
