When to Call Your Provider
Every pregnancy and labor is different. During your pregnancy you'll become especially tuned into your body's signals and the needs of your growing baby. Trust your instincts and call your provider if something doesn't feel right with you or the baby. That might mean severe or sudden pain, unusual discharge or swelling that's uneven (for example, if one of your legs looks significantly bigger than the other).
Whom to Call
Between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, call your care provider at his or her office.
