4.8 out of 5 (71 Ratings, 29 Comments)

Why do some of our providers not have a star rating? This can be for several reasons, including:

  1. The provider has not yet received the minimum number of patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
  2. The provider practices in a specialty or office that does not use the specified surveys currently used for these ratings.

Caring person.

I'm not a fan of a doctor who stares at a computer screen instead of looking at me when I'm talking to her. I did not feel heard. I won't return. My search for a good doctor continues.

*Dr. Welch has been my provider for many years and I have nothing but good experiences with her.

The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to physician related questions on our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score. Patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy.

She and/or her nurse communicates in timely fashion when I communicate through MyCarle.

THE best provider I have ever had at Carle! [...]

My provider is very good, I am happy to have her at my provider. She so friendly.

always listens and is respectful and understanding

I have been a patient of Dr. Welch for many years. She is a very caring person and a great doctor. Always listens to me and gives me a straight answer to any concerns I might have.

Very thankful that *Dr. Welch is my PCP!

Dr. Welch is a caring Doctor. She was late to my appointment. And that was OK because I knew that she was spending the time needed with a previous patient to provide meaningful care.

*Dr. Welch is a top notch provider. Always listens, shows compassion. Is difficult to get an appt. w/her though. She is an excellent doctor, therefore, very busy!

I have been with mh provider for many years and she is an excellent supportive care giver who has enhanced my efforts to stay healthy in my latee years of life.

Janet Welch is outstanding. My only possible grumble is the typical slight delay waiting in the exam room, but I know that this is because she is so thorough and careful when working with her patients. She wants to spend as much time with each of them as possible, and this is a great attribute in a Primary Care doctor.

Dr.Welch has been my primary care Dr. for several years. I have always had the very best care. She has gotten me thru many bad health issues. I respect her decisions with my care.

Excellent care by an outstanding provider.

Dr. Welch is an excellent doctor. I have complete trust in her. She has helped me maintain good health [...].

excellent rapport

Great provider

Dr Welch is an excellent physician and I'm glad she is my primary health-care provider.

I would recommend Dr. Welch to my friends; however, she isn't taking new patients...but she is the best!

*Dr. Welch is outstanding, am fortunate to have been with her for ...years.

The doctor was 30 minutes late for my appointment and no one let me know she was running late. It would have been nice if someone had come to the room and told me she was running behind.

Dr. Welch has been my primary care physician for ... years and I love the care and attention she gives me as a patient. During this last visit I became emotional ... and she was very empathetic. She listened and assured me that I should have had a different experience. She apologized for the manner in which I was treated. She was thorough in her exam and review of my complaints and medical history updates.

Very good experience. I can always count on *Dr. Welch to take the necessary time with me - and listen as well as talk.

It seemed clear that the doctor really couldn't definitely figure out the problem. She ended up making some suggestions. I probably should have just skipped the visit altogether.

Dr Welch is wonderful in every way!!! She is the perfect Dr. I couldn't say enough good things about her. The most thorough Dr I have ever had.

Love my provider but she spent 10 minutes examining me ... and 20 minutes typing into the computer while asking me about medications, etc. A wonderful person, a good visit but very little time on the actual examination.
