The Rheumatology and Arthritis department at Carle Foundation Hospital offers consultations, diagnosis and treatment for patients afflicted with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. Limiting pain, increasing mobility and improving our patient’s quality of life are at the core of our Program.

- Referral to physical therapy
- Treatment for:
- Rheumatic disease
- Arthritis
- Vasculitis disease
- Muscuoloskeletal disease
- Autoimmune diseases
- Inflammatory diseases
- Bone diseases
- Joint diseases
- Treatment for osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis includes:
- Medication—oral medication for osteoarthritis and both oral and IV infusions for rheumatoid arthritis
- Joint aspiration
- Steroid injections
Specialty Pharmacy Service
Carle Specialty Pharmacy now serves rheumatoid arthritis patients. It allows patients to be actively involved in the treatment process, which ultimately helps you get the most out of the drug therapies.
